TABBY BROWN

                                                    UK'S FINEST BY Marius MII

LCN: Hi Tabby, how are you. Welcome to Le Crème Nation.
TAB: Just glad to be in the US and adding a little British flavor (laughs)

LCN: You’re definitely doing that. How do you feel about being nominated for the UMA’s as an international model? You have a chance to make history by being named the first ever “Sexiest UK Model” Will you be attending the 2012 Urban Model Awards in D.C.? TAB: I am happy to be nominated but not really feeling the pic that’s on the nominee ballot (laughs) because it’s a fashion pic and the nomination is “Sexiest UK Model.” BUT VOTE for me!! I am definitely honored.
LCN: For many of our viewers they may recognize you. But for those who don’t know, who is Tabby Brown? TAB: I am an International model, presenter and aspiring actress. Tabby Brown is a brand which keeps on growing, from magazines, music videos, films, advertising campaigns.

LCN: You are one beautiful model. One of many that has made their mark in the industry hailing from the U.K. How was your transition from modeling here and converting it over to the U.S.? TAB: Thank you, the transition has been hard grafting as not many models from the UK make it in the US, I was lucky enough to have been given some great projects and off the back of those other opportunities have come about.  I believe I have now opened doors for other UK models to get into, and that makes me happy.

LCN: What’s your nationality? TAB: I am British, from African and Middle Eastern descent

LCN: How did your upbringing carry over to the success that you’ve had so far?
TAB: I had a relatively strict upbringing, in which education was key and without the upbringing I have had I doubt I would be as business savvy as I am today. My father would always say that power is knowledge- knowledge is power, something that no one can take away from you.

LCN: How did you get started and what was your first modeling gig?
TAB: I was working as a business manager, having climbed the corporate ladder I decided to change career paths and take up modeling
LCN: What is it about your personality and your upbringing that made you so passionate about modeling? TAB: I have always been ambitious and a go-getter, I am never complacent- life is too short to be.  Modeling has opened so many doors for me around the world and its something I love doing, especially fronting big advertising campaigns.

LCN: You have taken part in many campaigns such as; Cannon, SONY, Samsung, Virgin Atlantic. Explain those projects please?
TAB: Virgin Atlantic commercial was my first big campaign, I am currently the face of Sleek Hair, which is a brand that I love and will always promote, it makes a difference as model if you can sell a product, not to just look pretty in magazines but getting those campaigns is what really matters.

LCN: You were also featured in B.O.B. music video. How was that experience?
TAB: I have done many music videos, B.O.B (magic) was my first US lead role and I loved every minute of it as the production was so big. I am currently in Akon ft French Montana’s new video ‘Hurt Somebody’ and just finished shooting a video with Snoop Dogg which will be out soon.

LCN: You once described you style as “Classy” and sexy “Victoria Beckham-esque” Outside of the British background, how did you come to this conclusion in your style?
TAB: I just love the way Victoria Beckham dresses, she always looks sexy but really smart and classy, her clothing line is right up my street (as in I love it!!)

LCN: How long have you been a modeling for Playboy and what makes you different from other Playboy models? TAB: Just being a Playboy Bunny and not a playmate is different within itself. We do magazine features but not nude. I have never done nude

LCN: How did you become to be so comfortable in front of the camera? TAB: You just have to confident and it will come naturally

LCN: Was Playboy your target magazine when starting your career or were you only dreaming of doing print for fashion magazines and/or runway modeling? TAB: I have done runway, editorial, lingerie, commercial and glamour because as a model, in my eyes, I believe you should be diverse and not one dimensional, but obviously comfortable with what you are shooting

LCN: Do you think there’s a future for urban models in the 40 inch hip club in Playboy? TAB: Yes absolutely !

LCN: I agree. It’s slowly happening. How much experience have you gotten as far as working with and meeting people in the industry? TAB: I have been really lucky to meet so many amazingly talented people in the industry, I was recently interviewed by Snoop Dogg for his new show and that had to have been the best experience ever, not only little old me being interviewed by such a legend but to have been asked to be his dime of the month- of course I accepted!! You can see the interview online ‘When Snoop Met Tabby”.

LCN: How were you accepted as far as being one of the very few ethnic models’ being chosen for Playboy?
TAB: It’s great! I can be seen in this months Germany Playboy Magazine with my fellow London Playboy Bunnies

LCN: So far, what has been your most memorable modeling experience?
TAB: Most memorable modeling experience has to be shooting a soft drink campaign in Jordan, Middle East, we shot by the dead sea, floating in the water as you can never sink in that water! I met some great girls who till today remain my good friends, I guess it’s being able to travel whilst doing something you love

LCN: As an urban model, you likely deal with stereotypes. Which would you say is the worst? TAB: That women of ethnicity don’t sell magazines, I have for so long wanted to change that ideology and show that yes we too are sexy, desired and can sell products, more so in Europe as it’s a lot more diverse in the US. Its time certain magazine editors pulled their fingers out and thought outside the box!

LCN: Have you had to pass up any opportunities due to your morals and ethics? TAB: Yes plenty, being asked to shoot for playboy magazine nude, on several occasions, but it is not something I desire to do.

LCN: How would you describe the image that comes across when people look at your photos? TAB: People will see different photos of me- some commercial, some fashion, some glamour, I see Tabby brown as a brand, I have tapped into a niche market and soon there will be Tabby brown hair extension line, t-shirts, calendar and swimwear line, all that will be launched this year.

LCN: You were also featured in Cosmo Magazine and also Blackmen Magazine. Is there any difference in your style and transition when it comes to shooting with an urban magazine to a quote on quote universal magazine such as Cosmo.

TAB: Both magazines opened doors for me, one is obviously very sexy and whist the other is more so fashion based. I enjoy doing both; the posing is always different for different genres, so adapting to suit can be a challenge in itself

LCN: What part of the modeling industry interests you the most?
TAB: The travelling

LCN: What improvements could be made in the modeling industry that tampers you?
TAB: The traveling again (laughs)

LCN: What do you consider your sexiest feature?
TAB: love my waist as it’s tiny!! 22inches (Smiles)

LCN: Amen… So are you single? TAB: Yes

LCN: What’s the one thing you look for in a man?
TAB: He has to be ambitious

LCN: Have you ever dated someone that we may know or may have heard of?
TAB: Maybe… (Smiles)

LCN: What type of characteristics and features turns you on and off?
TAB: Turn on would be someone who is sexy and confident turn off would be arrogance

LCN: What’s the best line you’ve ever heard from a guy?

TAB: I honestly have never heard a good line before, lines are cheesy lol just be normal, it’s more attractive!

LCN: What type of entertainment do you enjoy during your spare time?
TAB: I love doing simple things like chilling with loved ones

LCN: How often do you watch porn? (Who’s your favorite porn star)
TAB: Ermm.. not a big porn watcher but if I had to choose because I don’t know any other names it would be Jenna Jameson!

LCN: How often do you watch sports? (Who’s your favorite sports team)
TAB: I have recently started to enjoy watching football, which you guys call soccer and whilst I am in the states I enjoy getting into basketball.

LCN: How do you like to be pampered by a male companion?
TAB: Just simple things like going to the park or zoo, or snuggled up watching a dvd, it’s the simple things that make me happy

LCN: How do you like to be pleasured? (Sexual or non sexual answer).
TAB: My neck is soooo sensitive it literally has a mind of its own and is the key to getting me excited!!!

LCN: (Silence)… Interesting (smiles). So what’s one thing about yourself that everyone should know? TAB: I love red velvet cake!!

LCN: Oh hell yeah! What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever done?
TAB: (Laughs) Telling the entire U.S. of America how I sneak farts on TMZ (Laughs)

LCN: (Laughs) You’re sexy so some people may find that sexy or cute in a fetish type of way. So, what future projects do you have lined up?

TAB: I have my t-shirt coming out soon with TWO IN THE SHIRT (TITS) catch me in the next Blackmens Magazine. I am in British film “BLUD!’ directed by Fredi Kruga out soon. Videos, more magazines, my calendar and if you get the chance, again, I have been nominated for the Urban Model Awards as Sexiest UK model so please please vote for me. Also in the pipeline is a new reality show called ‘Dream Hustle’ following myself and actress Emily Moore on our adventures from the UK to the US watch this space it is going to be hilarious.

LCN: Damn, you’re definitely on yours. What advice would you give young models looking to step into this industry? TAB: I always say make sure you set yourself a foundation first and foremost, get your education, get yourself on the property ladder, have something to fall back on, think outside the box and keep knocking on those doors without compromising who you are and above all enjoy it!!

LCN: Any shout outs? TAB: Shout out to Willie T, TITS, Marcus Bassingame, MqTease, Ricky Fontaine, Snoop Dog, Richard Pascoe, Charles and Ko, Emily Moore, Aaron Dunworth, Playboy London, Fredi Kruga, Ricky Fontaine, MQ Tease, and nevertheless You (laughs) & Le Crème Nation
